The Precious Blood Volunteers strive to participate in the spirituality and charisms of the community through study, prayer, and ministry. We foster Precious Blood Spirituality in our ministry with the men and women of the community, living and teaching the Word of God, and serving the marginalized, especially the poor.

  • St. Joseph, Missouri

    Dream Seekers of St. Joseph

    Precious Blood Volunteers coordinate the work of the “Dream Seekers” program. Through the “Dream Seekers” program the Precious Blood Volunteer would work to empower individuals living in poverty to shape their own future through connections present in the St. Joseph community.

     

  • Berkeley, California

    Lifelong Medical Care

    Precious Blood Volunteers assist medical staff in providing health and social services for the limited income community of the Bay area in a clinical setting. This placement is a great opportunity for people interested in a career in the medical field.

     

    Catholic Charities of the East Bay

    Precious Blood Volunteers serve refugees, the elderly, the hungry, the homeless, families and children, immigrants, the unemployed, people with HIV/AIDS, victims of violence, at-risk youth and other marginalized people who reside in the East Bay.

     

  • Crownpoint, New Mexico

    St. Paul Catholic Church

    Precious Blood Volunteers serve the Navajo community on the reservation’s clinic providing health and social services to the Navajo while playing an integral role in the faith community and social outreach at St. Paul Catholic Church. This placement is a great opportunity for people interested in a career in the medical field.

     

  • Chicago, Illinois

    Precious Blood Ministry of Reconciliation

    Precious Blood Volunteers reach out and serve those who affected by violence in the Back of the Yards neighborhood through peacemaking efforts, visiting inmates in jail, tutoring and mentoring at-risk youth.

     

  • Kansas City, Missouri

    Truman Medical Center

    Precious Blood Volunteers serve in the Medical Surgical Unit of Kansas City’s largest safety net hospital, working directly with patients to improve their health care and social service experience. This placement is a great opportunity for people interested in a career in the medical field.

     

    Sacred Heart/Guadalupe Parish

    Precious Blood Volunteers serve the parish and school community in Kansas City’s Westside neighborhood. Volunteers work with the parish staff for normal parish activities, work in the school, assist with the food pantry and work with the Hispanic ministry in the parish. Spanish language ability is a plus, but not required.
