Encouraging Vocations
Being a Missionary of the Precious Blood offers many opportunities to help others by sharing your talents, especially with the marginalized. Let your light shine with our light to reveal the presence of Christ to a world in need of Christ's light. If you want to help us to implement this dream, please contact the Vocation Ministry Office to help with the following ideas, or try them yourself. Let us continue to pray for vocations.

- Parish Vocation Committees: working under the Pastoral Council, this committee prays daily for increased vocations, directs parish projects aimed at vocation awareness (see below for ideas), and supports seminarians and religious in their ministry.
- 31 Clubs: participants in 31 Clubs sign up to pray for vocations one day per month for one year. The clubs have 31 or more members to ensure that every day of the month, prayers or a Mass are being offered for vocations.
- Traveling vocation cross/chalice/statue: this religious symbol is sent to a different household each week with a "sending forth" prayer at the end of Mass. Prayers accompany the symbol for an individual, couple or family to use as they pray in a special way that week for vocations. This also raises awareness and involvement in the parish in praying for vocations.
- Holy Hour for Vocations: promotes prayer, reflection and adoration for encouraging vocations.
- World Day of Prayer for Vocations: the Church dedicates the feast of the Good Shepherd as a day to pray for vocations worldwide.

- School and parish presentations
- Parish bulletin inserts
- Vocation Corner in parishes and schools
- National Vocation Awareness Week: observed in January beginning with the Baptism of the Lord, this would be an excellent time to display vocational materials or have speakers/presentations in parishes or ministries.
